Devon Energy

Since 2004, Fountain Quail has developed and refined its technology for recycling flowback and produced water in North Texas’ Barnett Shale. During that time, the company has recycled more than 700 million gallons of Devon Energy’s wastewater. The treated water, which would otherwise have been injected into disposal wells and permanently removed from the hydrological cycle, is instead re-used in Devon's drilling operations. In recognition of its water conservation efforts in partnership with Fountain Quail, Devon was honored with the 2008 Chairman’s Stewardship Award by the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission.

Eureka Resources

In June 2010, Eureka Resources opened its expanded 60,000-square-foot water treatment facility in Williamsport, PA, in partnership with Fountain Quail. The operation now recycles up to 300,000 gallons of wastewater every day from customers that include Range Resources, XTO Energy and Chesapeake Energy. Eureka Resources is a leading provider of Marcellus Shale wastewater treatment solutions. Eureka has pioneered shale gas flowback and produced water treatment in north central Pennsylvania and continues to grow and expand their operations.

Layne Christensen

In January 2011, Aqua-Pure and Layne Christensen Company (NASDAQ: LAYN) announced the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding whereby the firms will join forces to provide comprehensive treatment and disposal solutions in challenging shale gas and other industrial wastewater applications.

The alliance allows both companies to market the other’s products and services, and seeks to exploit their complementary technologies to provide shale gas operators with a “turnkey solution” for treatment of flowback, produced water and other waste streams. The combined services will provide a comprehensive solution for pre-treatment, re-use and disposal of drilling wastewater using both mobile and permanent facilities.

Now in its third century of operations, Layne Christensen Company (www.laynechristensen.com) started in 1882 as a water-well drilling company in the Badlands of South Dakota. Headquartered in Mission Woods, Kan., Layne operates worldwide, providing products and services for the water, mineral, construction and energy markets. Layne Christensen’s Water Technologies Division provides products and services for industrial water and wastewater treatment, engineered systems and facility construction.

We make environmentally sustainable solutions cost-effective; because water is too precious to waste.
