Texas Barnett Shale

operations_overview

The Barnett Shale in North East Texas is where the energy industry learned to produce shale gas. Shale gas development requires large volumes of fresh water supply and creates flowback and produced water disposal issues. Over the past six years Fountain Quail Water Management FQWM has recycled in excess of 11.0 million barrels of oilfield wastewater from the Barnett Shale. Through hard work and perseverance FQWM has cultivated a strong relationship with Devon Energy and the Texas Railroad Commission, the oil and gas regulatory authority in Texas. The result has been a contract from Devon Energy for water processed by nine of Aqua-Pure’s patented NOMAD water purification systems, and a long term operating permit from the Texas Railroad Commission.

Fountain Quail’s recycling facilities are strategically located in areas of high drilling density to minimize or eliminate the need for hauling flowback or produced water to disposal.

Fountain Quail takes responsibility for all aspects of the water management process from installation, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and demobilization.  Facilities are customer designed to meet the needs of the particular application and environment.
