NOMAD 2000 EVAPORATOR


The NOMAD evaporator system is truly revolutionary. The system addresses one of the greatest challenges of economically treating contaminated water – dealing with the variable nature and composition of oilfield wastewater contaminants.

Wastewater generated from oil and gas operations is highly variable and therefore very difficult to treat. Traditional methods – membranes, ion exchange, etc. – are most effective when treating water with consistent levels of specific contaminants. Variations in the types and concentrations of contaminants cause these systems to fail, requiring frequent cleaning or recalibration. Because every load is different and scaling is inevitable, the equipment must be rugged, durable, resistant to fouling and easy to service and maintain.

Our evaporator technology, designed and perfected over the past decade in the extreme environments of Canada’s oil fields and North Texas’ Barnett Shale, is capable of producing pure distilled water regardless of the feed composition. The only variability is in our recovery rates. Aqua-Pure returns between 75 and 95 percent of the producer’s feed volume as distilled fresh water, which can then be re-used on-site or safely discharged into local waterways.

This unique ability to cost-efficiently recycle variable wastewater that would otherwise be permanently removed from the hydrological cycle gives Aqua-Pure a distinct competitive advantage, including access to virtually untapped wastewater markets with few, if any, direct competitors.
