Saltwater Disposal

Fountain Quail’s saltwater disposal facilities are the centerpiece of our Total Water Management Solutions® program.

The EPA-preferred method for the disposal of produced and flowback water is through Class II saltwater disposal wells. Fountain Quail owns, operates and is developing an expanding portfolio of Class II SWDs that serve the Marcellus and Utica shale plays and the Mid-Continent’s SCOOP and STACK plays. We are exploring the acquisition and greenfield development of additional facilities to serve major plays across North America with a focus on the Permian Basin. Fountain Quail’s Class II SWDs are designed, built, operated and maintained according to best-in-class environmental, health and safety standards to protect underground sources of drinking water.

In the past, operators viewed recycling and disposal as mutually exclusive paths for produced-water management. Fountain Quail believes that integrating recycling and disposal is the future. We are uniquely positioned with experience both in produced-water recycling and in development and management of safe disposal wells. By integrating recycling services at our disposal facilities we are able to create “water management hubs” for our customers.  We take that forward-thinking approach and integrate it with our pipeline, storage, and transportation capabilities to provide our customers with a range of water management solutions that is more comprehensive than any other company in the industry.
